Unreleased Virtual Boy games D-Hopper and Zero Racers land on Switch Online Aug. 4

Nintendo will add two previously unreleased Virtual Boy titles, D-Hopper and Zero Racers, to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pass on August 4. D-Hopper (originally Dragon Hopper) is a fantasy action‑adventure starring a prince; Zero Racers is a racer inspired by F‑Zero. Both games were slated for release in 1996 before the Virtual Boy was discontinued, and Nintendo has also added Virtual Boy music tracks and replica headsets that enable VR modes in some Switch games; Super Mario Sunshine arrives on Switch Online on August 13.

• D-Hopper (formerly Dragon Hopper) is a fantasy action‑adventure where a prince fights an evil regime and frees loved ones, fairies, and elemental spirits.
• Zero Racers is a racing title inspired by SNES hit F‑Zero; both D-Hopper and Zero Racers were intended for 1996 release on Virtual Boy but were never published after the system was pulled.
• Both games will be available on Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pass starting August 4, and Super Mario Sunshine joins Nintendo Switch Online on August 13.
• Nintendo added Virtual Boy music tracks (Virtual Boy Wario Land, Mario Clash, Galactic Pinball, Teleroboxer, Mario's Tennis) to its music lineup and released plastic and cardboard Virtual Boy replicas that can access VR modes in select Switch titles.
