Nintendo considering Switch 2 OLED from Samsung, concerned about cost

ZDNet Korea reports Nintendo is exploring a 1080p OLED panel from Samsung Display for a potential Switch 2 OLED. The company is worried a premium price could hurt sales amid rising console prices and tight consumer spending. An OLED model could arrive as early as 2028, but timing and pricing remain uncertain. Nintendo will also ship an EU Switch 2 revision with a replaceable battery and discontinue the original Switch there.
