Sony to close PlayStation Store on PS3 and PS Vita by July 2027
Sony announced it will shut down the PlayStation Store on PS3 and PS Vita, with phased regional closures starting in select markets. New purchases will no longer be possible after each store closes, but previously bought content can still be downloaded for the foreseeable future. The company outlined regional timing, with a full global shutdown scheduled for July 2027.
- PS3 store closing in select markets starting in August (Mexico, Honduras, Nicaragua)
- Additional Latin American and Middle Eastern PS3 closures set for late 2026; global PS3 and PS Vita closures in July 2027
