Sony ends PlayStation game discs for new releases from Jan 2028

Sony will stop producing physical PlayStation game discs for all new releases starting January 2028. After that date, new titles will be sold only in digital form via the PlayStation Store and through retailers. Games already released on disc or scheduled for disc release before January 2028 are not affected.

• Existing discs and pre-2028 disc plans unaffected
• No option to resell, lend, trade or collect new physical releases
