Ubisoft CEO says PlayStation disc phase-out unlikely to disrupt industry
Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot told investors Sony’s plan to stop producing PlayStation discs in 2028 “will not disturb the industry too much.” He cited the PC transition to digital (Steam) as a precedent and said digital-only could lower hardware costs and help market growth.
