Framework says supplier more than doubled RAM prices, will alter some preorders
Framework reports its memory module supplier raised prices by more than double prior shipments, a jump the company says it cannot absorb. Framework will use remaining 64 GB/32 GB stock to fulfill existing preorders, then reconfigure some orders to 32 GB or 16 GB modules at original pricing. Storage module prices changed unevenly — some capacities cut, others increased. Existing preorder prices will be honored; reduced prices will be passed on where applicable.
- Supplier raised RAM prices by more than double
- Framework cannot absorb the increase and will adjust orders
- Some preorders will be reconfigured to lower-cap modules once stock is depleted
- Mixed storage price changes; existing preorder prices will be honored
