Augmental Mouth Pad: Bluetooth mouthpiece lets users control PCs with their tongue
Augmental’s Mouth Pad is a custom-fit, Bluetooth mouthpiece that lets users operate PCs, tablets and phones using their tongue. The retainer-style device uses a tongue trackpad or optional head-tracking mode to register inputs and is now available in the US. The startup began at MIT and tested the design with about 100 early-access users. It’s positioned as an assistive interface for people with limited hand mobility and can be used for gaming and general computer control.
