War for Westeros RTS delayed to early 2027
Playside has delayed the Game of Thrones real-time strategy War for Westeros from 2026 to "early 2027." The studio says the extra time will help meet quality expectations for both RTS players and franchise fans. The game, announced in 2025, features playable Houses (Stark, Targaryen, Lannister) and the Night King, with single-player and multiplayer modes. The Game of Thrones IP is owned by Warner Bros. Discovery, which is being acquired by Paramount and is prioritizing a few major franchises for gaming.
