Bethesda confirms Fallout 5 in development; will follow The Elder Scrolls 6

Bethesda has reconfirmed that Fallout 5 is in development but remains years away with no release date. The studio says Fallout 5 will arrive after The Elder Scrolls 6 and both are being built on Creation Engine 3. Todd Howard indicated the game will be predominantly set in the US and exist in the same continuity as the Amazon Fallout TV show; the effect of recent Microsoft layoffs on the project is unclear.
