Jon Hamm was considered for LA Noire lead; Aaron Staton was chosen
Writer Daniel McMahon says Jon Hamm was discussed as a possible choice for LA Noire’s protagonist Cole Phelps, but Aaron Staton was ultimately cast. McMahon cited cost and that Staton better captured Phelps’s youthful fragility. LA Noire was developed by Team Bondi and released in 2011; publisher Take-Two has said it’s considering future projects for its franchises, including LA Noire.
