BOE opens $9.3B 8.6‑gen OLED plant in Chengdu, aims for 10M panels this year
BOE has started mass production at a new 8.6‑generation OLED facility in Chengdu. The plant cost about ¥63 billion (~$9.3 billion) and is reported to target 10 million panels in its first year. Major PC and phone brands attended the opening and are expected to use the panels. Initial output will focus on small-to-medium panels with LTPO stacked tandem designs supporting up to 240 Hz VRR.
