Obsidian reportedly shifted to new Fallout project after Xbox cuts

Eurogamer reports Obsidian Entertainment was reassigned to a new Fallout game for Xbox. The change follows Microsoft's wider Xbox cuts — about 3,200 roles — and reportedly saw around a quarter of Obsidian's staff leave. Development of a sequel to Avowed was reportedly deprioritised. Microsoft and Obsidian have not publicly confirmed these reports.
