Obsidian reportedly shifting to new Fallout project; Avowed sequel shelved

Bloomberg reports Obsidian Entertainment will focus on a new Fallout game, pausing an Avowed sequel and other unannounced projects. Josh Sawyer is said to lead the project, with Bethesda involved. It’s not yet clear whether the game will be Fallout 5 or a New Vegas–style spin‑off. The change comes amid recent Xbox-driven layoffs at Obsidian.
