Jacob Freeman, who identifies as Nvidia’s GeForce Evangelist, attended PAX West and invited attendees on X to find him for RTX 5090, 5080, or 5070 units at MSRP while supplies lasted. He handed out purchase codes for the RTX 50-series at the event. There was no apparent Nvidia booth and no boxed Founder's Edition GPUs available for purchase at PAX West. One attendee noted it was cheaper to fly from the UK to Seattle to try to secure an RTX 5090 via the evangelist than to buy one elsewhere.

• What happened: Jacob Freeman, calling himself a GeForce Evangelist, was at PAX West offering RTX 5090/5080/5070 at MSRP and handed out purchase codes while supplies lasted, after posting an invitation on X.
• Why it matters: The evangelist’s in-person code distribution created a direct opportunity for some attendees to obtain RTX 50-series cards at MSRP at an event that otherwise lacked boxed GPUs for sale.
• Context: Unlike QuakeCon earlier this year, PAX West did not appear to have an Nvidia booth or boxed Founder's Edition GPUs available for purchase; the evangelist’s presence and code handing were the visible route to RTX 50-series stock at the show.
• What next: It is not yet confirmed whether Nvidia will run similar in-person distributions at other events, how many purchase codes were issued, or what official retail availability will follow.
