Xbox to cut ~3,200 jobs, refocus on Fallout, Elder Scrolls and Quake
Microsoft and Xbox announced about 3,200 job cuts to be completed before the end of fiscal 2027. Several studios will be sold or spun out, and ZeniMax Media and Bethesda Softworks will face staff reductions though no closures were announced. Xbox says it will undertake a "significant overhaul" to concentrate on major franchises including Fallout, The Elder Scrolls and Quake.
