Orbitals review: twins say 'sayonara' to abandoned tools — play in Japanese

GG Brief Editorial Desk · AI-assisted, source attributed

In Orbitals, twin protagonists Maki and Omura vocalize a farewell when they leave behind items, frequently saying 'sayonara' in the Japanese audio. Examples of abandonable tools include a ground-pound backpack and a hacked microwave oven. That small audio detail is highlighted as a characterful touch and a reason to prefer the Japanese voice track with subtitles.

• Maki and Omura often voice a farewell when abandoning tools, using 'sayonara' in the Japanese voice track.
• Specific items that trigger the farewell include a ground-pound backpack and a hacked microwave oven.
• The game's voiced farewells are presented as a deliberate character detail that adds charm to interactions.
• Players are advised to use the Japanese audio with subtitles rather than the dub to experience the original vocal lines.
