Tim Curry, who voiced the villain Doviculus in Double Fine’s Brütal Legend, has died at age 80. Double Fine has made Brütal Legend free to claim or download on itch for 666 minutes as a tribute. Doviculus was originally planned to be voiced by Ronnie James Dio, and Curry’s performance helped define the game’s heavy-metal tone. The giveaway echoes a prior 666-minute promotion tied to Ozzy Osbourne’s cameo in the game.

• Tim Curry, aged 80, provided the voice of Doviculus, the primary antagonist in Brütal Legend.
• Brütal Legend is available free on itch for exactly 666 minutes (11 hours and 6 minutes); players can download immediately or claim it to download later.
• The role of Doviculus was initially intended for Ronnie James Dio before Curry was cast for his distinctive voice.
• Double Fine previously offered the game free for 666 minutes in a separate promotion connected to Ozzy Osbourne, who appears as the Guardian of Metal shopkeeper.
