Disney exec: 'Nothing is impossible' for Kingdom Hearts movie as TV series and KH4 progress

Walt Disney Animation chief creative officer Jared Bush said 'nothing is impossible' when asked about a potential Kingdom Hearts movie, leaving the door open to a film adaptation. Kingdom Hearts already has a TV series in development for Disney+ and is one of nine Disney gaming franchises to exceed $1 billion in sales. Square Enix confirmed Kingdom Hearts 4 is scheduled for late 2027 and will include Donald Duck as a playable character and characters from Coco. Earlier, an animatic pilot for a Kingdom Hearts TV show created by filmmaker Seth Kearsley circulated online then was removed, and former Disney CEO Michael Eisner says he does not recall greenlighting the original pitch.
