Xbox Insider Update Adds Selective Save Deletion and Home-Screen Controls

Xbox is rolling out a new console update to Alpha and Alpha Skip-Ahead Insider rings that adds selective save management, home-screen customization, and improved profile info. Players can view, sort and delete individual local game saves by size, remove Recent Games/App tiles (including Play History), and enable an immersive background mode that hides the UI with a right-thumbstick press. The update also surfaces detailed badge unlock info, awards a Day One badge for Xbox One launch players, and automatically removes purchased games from wishlists, giving users more control over storage and personalization.

• Rollout begins now for Alpha and Alpha Skip-Ahead Xbox Insider members.
• Manage Local Game Saves lets users view, sort by size, and delete individual local saves; recent save data continues to back up and sync across devices.
• Home page changes allow removal of tiles from Recent Games and Apps (including the Play History tile) and add an immersive background mode that hides the UI with a right-thumbstick press.
• Profile badges now show when and how they were unlocked, a Day One profile badge is granted for playing on Xbox One on Nov. 22, 2013, and purchased games are automatically removed from wishlists.
