Fortnite links to Disney's Smugglers Run ride and adds Smugglers Gambit island

Disney and Epic launched a live integration that ties Fortnite to the Smuggler's Run motion-simulator at Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Crates collected during the ride now unlock in-game items, and Fortnite added a new island, Smugglers Gambit, set at Mersa Veta Station with co-op missions, pirate and Imperial-remnant encounters. Players must connect Epic Games and MyDisney accounts to receive perks; the integration went live on August 16 and includes the Forsworn Trooper Outfit. Disney invested more than $1.5 billion in Epic to create park-to-game synergies and is pursuing further Fortnite tie-ins.
