Modern Warfare 4 beta will include a campaign mission and Warzone mode

The Modern Warfare 4 beta will include the campaign mission Entrenched and the Warzone mode Resurgence Zodiac in addition to multiplayer. Early access for players who preorder runs August 21–25, with the beta opening to everyone August 28–September 1; the game will be shown at Call of Duty: Next on August 21. Modern Warfare 4 releases October 23 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Switch 2, and preorders grant campaign access a week early — the entry also skips PS4/Xbox One and will not launch on Xbox Game Pass.

• Beta includes the campaign mission Entrenched and the Warzone mode Resurgence Zodiac alongside multiplayer; some content will be showcased at Call of Duty: Next on August 21.
• Early-access beta runs August 21–25 for preorder customers, with open beta August 28–September 1; early access is not available on Switch 2 because Switch 2 preorders begin August 28.
• Full game launches October 23 for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Switch 2; preordering grants campaign access one week before launch.
• Infinity Ward leads development; this is Call of Duty's first appearance on a Nintendo platform since 2013's Ghosts, the first mainline entry to skip PS4/Xbox One since Ghosts, and it will not launch on Xbox Game Pass at release.
