A new Elden Ring trailer showcases numerous small, malformed humanoids and other strange monsters. Design comparisons to previous FromSoftware titles are used to predict the creatures’ likely identities and roles. Those predictions imply a broader set of enemy types and worldbuilding details that could affect player expectations and theories.

• Trailer imagery includes many small, malformed humanoid figures alongside other grotesque creatures.
• Design elements echo recurring FromSoftware motifs (twisted humanoid forms and grotesque aesthetics).
• Observers used those design parallels to propose specific identities and functions for several of the creatures.
• The suggested identities point to expanded enemy varieties and additional worldbuilding elements in Elden Ring.
