CD Projekt lays off nine Project Sirius staff; 18 roles affected, over 20% cut

CD Projekt has laid off nine employees from Project Sirius — four in Boston and five in Warsaw — and moved nine other team members into internal recruitment for roles on other CD Projekt Red projects. The company lists 83 people working on Sirius in its Q1 2026 report, so the 18 affected positions equal more than 20% of the team. Project Sirius originated with CD Projekt's 2021 acquisition of The Molasses Flood, saw that studio absorbed into CD Projekt Red in 2025 and underwent a reboot and updated direction; the game still has not been publicly revealed.
