Most GTA 6 pre-orders are for the $100 Ultimate edition, Take-Two says
Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick says the majority of Grand Theft Auto 6 pre-orders have been for the $100 Ultimate edition rather than the $80 Standard edition. Take-Two is the parent company of Rockstar, the game's developer. The pre-order mix raises the average revenue per pre-order and shows strong consumer demand for premium editions ahead of launch.
- GTA 6 will offer at least two pre-order tiers: Standard at $80 (approx. £70) and Ultimate at $100 (approx. £90).
- Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two, says most customers who have pre-ordered chose the $100 Ultimate edition over the $80 Standard edition.
- Because more buyers select the higher-priced tier, Take-Two will capture a higher average sale price per pre-order than if the Standard edition dominated.
- Take-Two is the parent company of Rockstar, so this pre-order revenue benefits the publisher and the game's developer.
