SilentPatch overhaul restores 100+ San Andreas lines and fixes 100+ GTA Trilogy bugs
SilentPatch released a major update for the GTA III, Vice City and San Andreas PC ports that restores over 100 previously inaccessible San Andreas voice lines and applies more than 100 bug fixes across the trilogy. Restored dialogue includes controller-only CJ lines now triggered by mouse/keyboard, new pedestrian and cop lines, and over 15 previously unused Ammu-Nation vendor lines. The update also fixes numerous gameplay and stability issues — for example lens flares and heat haze now scale with resolution, NPCs handle sniper rifles and RPGs correctly, and storing a boat in a garage no longer crashes the game. These changes recover cut content and resolve long-standing technical bugs that affected audio, AI behavior, rendering and crashes.
- San Andreas had 100 voice lines restored; CJ shooting lines that only worked with a controller now trigger with mouse/keyboard playback.
- Ammu-Nation vendor regained over 15 previously unused voice lines; pedestrians, criminals, cops and shopkeepers now have more context-specific dialogue.
- Cross-game fixes include resolution-scaled lens flares and heat haze, NPCs correctly using sniper rifles and RPGs, birds spawning properly and roadblocks facing the right way.
- Stability bugs squashed include preventing crashes when placing a boat in a garage, stopping the sky-from-turning-red-at-8pm-while-raining issue, and fixing an explosion-causing bug.
