Corsair buys Trak Racer assets, adds cockpits and motion systems to Fanatec lineup
Corsair acquired all assets of Melbourne-based simulator cockpit maker Trak Racer. The purchase brings motion systems, physical rigs, flight-simulation hardware, aluminum-profile cockpits and haptic platforms into Corsair’s existing Fanatec portfolio. The combined product set lets Corsair offer complete end-to-end simulation setups — from pedals and wheelbases to full cockpits and motion platforms — enabling customers to source steering wheels and racing seats from a single company.
- Corsair purchased all assets of Trak Racer, a Melbourne-based simulator cockpit manufacturer founded in 2008.
- Trak Racer’s product range added to Corsair includes tubular and aluminum-profile cockpits, racing seats, motion systems, and flight-simulation hardware.
- Corsair already owns Fanatec, which supplies electronics such as wheelbases, steering wheels and pedals; the acquisition merges physical rigs with those electronics.
- The combined lineup enables Corsair to sell complete, end-to-end sim racing setups and haptic platforms under one brand.
