Xbox CEO teases PlayStation-style 'Platinum' achievement coming later this year
Asha Sharma, Xbox's CEO, said on social media that the team is "working on something for later this year" that could add an Xbox equivalent to PlayStation's Platinum trophy. Platinum trophies are awarded for unlocking all other trophies, and Xbox does not currently have a comparable all-unlock badge. Microsoft is simultaneously rolling out an achievements update to Xbox Insiders that adds sorting by game name, completion percentage, Gamerscore earned and number of achievements unlocked. The announcement comes while Sharma is executing a business reset at Xbox this year that included mass layoffs, game cancellations and studio divestitures.
