Minecraft launches on Nintendo Switch 2 Oct. 27 with upgraded visuals
Minecraft will receive a native Nintendo Switch 2 release on October 27 that introduces a new 'Vibrant Visuals' mode with enhanced lighting and shadows. Mojang is offering a digital upgrade path for people who bought the original Switch edition, and existing save data from the Switch will carry over to Switch 2. The visual upgrades won’t apply in split-screen or some marketplace/custom worlds, but the Nintendo-exclusive Super Mario Mash-Up pack will be updated to support the improvements.
