Krafton and Unknown Worlds settle; Subnautica 2 team to receive bonuses, CEO exits
Krafton and Unknown Worlds reached a legal settlement that will pay the Subnautica 2 team bonuses in three annual installments. As part of the agreement, Unknown Worlds CEO Ted Gill has resigned and the companies are seeking an external replacement. The deal resolves a 2025 lawsuit over $250 million in alleged unpaid bonuses and follows a March 2026 court ruling that briefly reinstated Gill. Subnautica 2 launched May 14 and sold four million copies within four days.
