Sony to stop producing PlayStation game discs from January 2028

Sony will cease manufacturing physical discs for PlayStation games starting January 2028. After that date, PlayStation titles will be available only in digital form. Sony said the change reflects consumer preferences, and games will still be sold at retail without discs.
