D&D: World of Warcraft tabletop set launches in November with MMO systems
Blizzard’s World of Warcraft is being adapted into an official Dungeons & Dragons tabletop setting, releasing this November. The set includes Azeroth-specific classes, races, spells, items and systems so dungeon masters can run full WoW campaigns. It brings MMO mechanics like professions, mounts, and a faction Renown system that grants in-game perks to tabletop characters.
- All 13 World of Warcraft classes are playable, with six new subclasses, three modified subclasses, and over 40 class specializations available.
- The setting adds 11 WoW species (including tauren, draenei, forsaken, and trolls) and WoW-specific rules for humans, dwarves, goblins, orcs and elves; species choices can grant a starting Renown Score with an Azeroth faction.
- More than 60 new spells and 25 new magic items (including mounts and companion creatures) are included, plus 10 WoW professions for crafting and gear improvement.
- The product introduces 25 factions with a Renown progression system that grants perks and rewards, along with 50 new monsters and 30 dungeons for adventure content.
